Spirituality - A Non-Ending Journey

Spirituality is non ending.  Although it is manifested based on one's receptivity, there is no end to it.  As you grow further into it, more and more comes.  



The surprising thing is you can lose everything in a moment when the mind starts to boast itself stating that it knows it all.  As you get more and more knowledge of beyond by practicing spirituality, you become more silent as you see so much that becomes impossible to put in words similar to ocean that is so smooth on the surface but so deep with vast treasures beyond the point of exploration.

We need to enjoy this journey realizing that we cannot find the end to it.  Let us just enjoy what is given to us.

How to Find Happiness

We first identify what makes us happy and then look for those activities, do them, get the desired results and then get happy. The example of such would be if we are out of shape and knowing that getting in shape would make us happy.



In this scenario, we would explore the places that help us to get back in shape e.g. gyms, nutritionists, diet plans, body wraps, cosmetic surgeons etc.

We would then choose the activity that think would give us the best results. We then act and get the desired results. This makes us happy.

Long Term Implications of Plastic Surgery

Of course, it is very possible in today’s environment to ignore the long term implications of plastic surgery just for short term happiness.  



However, you already understand that you need to deal with how body is performing naturally.  You may not have a problem with that too and in that case this is fine.  

The question is why you need to go through the surgery in the first place? That shows there is something not right that you feel about your body. This could be out of many things. The things to consider about is whatever you were doing has brought you to this position where you are considering the plastic surgery.  

After going through the surgery, are you thinking to make a change in your life style so you don’t have to go through this again.  If not, then you need to think through. 

Internally, your body will continue to do the same that it was doing prior to the surgery and therefore it is only a matter of time that you may need to think of either doing it again at the same place or may be some other place.  

Remember, our body is very resilient and will handle any drastic changes that you make but ultimately will over rule anything for its survival.

If you think only short term results after the surgery, it may appear to be good.  However, it is the long term results that you have to worry about!

What it Takes to be Well

The body and mind are so creatively made that they talk within ourselves.  They always tell us what is going on within.  However, we are stubborn enough to listen only if we want to otherwise we neglect such calls.  In due time though, these messages get stronger and reflect either on our bodies or our minds.  At that time we call them sicknesses.

It is important to know that wellness is needed to be socially active.  If there are problems that are felt within our bodies, may be physical or mental, we should take care of them as soon as possible to stay well.  Remember with mind you create and with the body you implement that creation.  Both are needed.

Can the Results of the Body Wrap Be Permanent?

The body is detoxifying itself every moment.  Body wrap promotes this process when it gets done. 



However, this boost will get down after the wrap is done and some time has passed.  Now how the body is operating day to day makes a difference.  If it is operating well, you need less maintenance wraps and if not then you need more wraps.  

The number of maintenance wraps varies from person to person depending on your body's performance. In general, and very broadly speaking, about 6 body wraps in a year (one wrap every two months or so) can be a good choice.

Acquiring Happiness

We feel that we can acquire happiness from many different places in the world. If we have material possessions, we can get happiness. If we become a celebrity, we can get happiness. If we become a leader, we can get happiness.



Often times, we confuse ourselves with attainments of possessions – material or abstract with happiness. Everyday we hear many stories about people who take drastic measures to even end their lives, we still do not get the message that happiness cannot be acquired by having possessions. It is a feeling that comes from within by doing the acts that please us and not by acquiring any amounts of possessions.

Happiness that we feel due to some achievement only comes with our efforts that take us to a positive direction in life.

That is still the happiness from within and not acquired from outside.

The Meaning of Happiness

Happiness is defined as a mental or emotional state of well being characterized by positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. Although we all know about happiness to a different degree, we find that in every day life it is very difficult to look for happiness. Why is that?



It appears that we have got ourselves so busy in so many activities of life, that we almost forgot that those activities were supposed to get us happiness. That was the primary reason that we got started on those with wishful thinking of attaining happiness.

Instead, we find that now we are now chasing all those activities hoping to find pleasure and happiness. In the mean time, when we look carefully, we realize that all those things where were putting our hearts into are giving us stress, anxiety, panic attacks, heart troubles and many other ailments.

We ask ourselves – when and how did that happen? Where did my happiness go?

What is Happiness?

Happiness is something we all want and crave for. We can have everything in life but if we are missing happiness, it seems like an empty shell that has no true life in it - just a cover. We work hard to be able to get the things in life that we need.



Sometimes we get them and sometimes we don't. But the main purpose of life is to be satisfied for whatever we do that in turns gives us happiness.

When we look into happiness there are so many parts of that are involved in getting it, retaining it and taking it all the way through our lives.

Achievement of Happiness

Happiness is achieved through various means. Some of the examples are having a family that is cohesive, progressive and respectful. Other examples could be from the work place where the environment is productive and fair business practices are followed.



A further addition could be seeing oneself being healthy from mind, body and intellect, which is what we focus on at DKWS.

All these positive things in everyday life do make us feel that we are feeling happiness although with a hidden fear of losing it any time without any prior notice.

Belief

When we try to grow within ourselves, an important thing is to believe that we have a conscious entity within ourselves that is making our lives run.  Although we feel that we are running our life, but when we look at it carefully, we see that all body machinery is working by itself without our help.  



Our mind is also active and doing its own things.  Our brain has full power to analytically process the thoughts and making them into action.  

What are we doing?  It is all happening inside us and the power that is making all this happen is the conscious power.  We need to believe in that.  

It is only our level of ignorance that fights it, otherwise as written above, it is all being done for us.

Unprompted Anxiety

Stress is an important topic at DKWS, and oftentimes we see clients who become stressed even when it is not prompted! 




When the body is under stress for a long period of time, the mental facility of body becomes exhausted. Due to continuous stress and your body working to reduce the stress, the entire body chemistry changes leading to alterations in enzyme chemistry.  This is caused from changes in hormone production in the body to cope up with the stress.  

After the body tries to handle the stress for a long time, your body will reach a brink where it cannot handle it any longer and the symptoms start to show on the body as anxiety.  

Providing right nourishment to the body, working with the environmental conditions, relaxing the body by proper sleep and other physical activities, detoxification and cleansing, and hydration are some of the key actions to reduce anxiety.  

One thing that I suggest is a wellness evaluation, as it puts everything on the proper perspective with a game plan to follow. These have proven to be extremely beneficial for clients.

Wellness & Eating Well

A question that I receive frequently is eating well, and if that's the only thing that leads to wellness.



Well, eating well isn't the only aspect of wellness. First of all, the term 'health' means different things to everyone based on their perception of health.  Similarly, eating can vary from person to person.

There are other things involved to be well like hydration, oxygenation, physical activity, anger, greed, vanity, stress, and more.  If the only factor was eating, life would have been much easier to understand! Eating is important, but only a part of the whole picture of being well.

Now, the question is what is defined as healthy eating?  Processed food vs wholesome food, fresh food vs stale food, raw food vs cooked food or vegetarian food vs non vegetarian food.

Keeping all these things in mind, it appears that your understanding of eating healthy can make you physically healthy but you need more understanding and balance at the mind level to be well.

Stress from Work

We need to work to survive, but often times it causes excess stress in our lives.  When a few people get together at work place, things happen without even asking for them.  It is workplace but the workers are people.  These people have minds that comes with them.  



Now, the question becomes what state of mind they are in?  If they are happy, less tension and less stress.  If something has happened prior, they will walk in disturbed and create stress to others. You can only give to others what you have. 

 Plus, there is mechanical part of work stress that is just there - do too much in less time and feel behind all the time.

One of the remedies for stress is to evaluate the situation well and see what is acceptable to you.  Once you decide how far you can go, your mind and body feel peaceful because you have evaluated the situation.  You know at that time how you will act when you feel it is too much.  Second you can support your mind by taking some products that provide relief.

Is Looking Skinny All that Matters?



Maybe that's what you think.  But look a little deeper – does it really matter? And to whom?


Let us see if you live for yourself or others? If you look good then obviously you get a lot of attention that you may enjoy but at what price?

Looking and feeling good is great but only looking good and not be able to enjoy it may not be that great after all.  For the body to just look good is not enough.

For true beauty, you need to give your body proper foods, water and other supplementation that is necessary for the health.  You can pass your life if all these things are not available only for a certain period of time as body is very resilient.

However, when the resources of the body that help it to do its normal functions are used up, deficiencies start to crop up and here starts a downhill trend and its no fun.

Develop Immunity for Your Protection


We live an environment where bacteria is all around us.  We are able to survive because our body has the power to fight the bacteria.

However, when the body has to fight with either too much bacteria or is weak to fight the bacteria, then we fall sick.  Weak body gets weaker when attacked by the bacteria as it is handling many issues within the body in the first place.


Because of the pollution everywhere in our day to day living environment, it is better to take care of ourselves by supplementing what it needs.

Body Wraps & Instant Slimming, Part Two

Because body wraps are a favorite at DKWS, I wanted to talk a bit more about body wraps and instant slimming. 



Below are some of the things that may be the reason to lose the results.  Keep in mind that if the system is already compromised it would be hard to maintain the results.
  • Drinking alcohol - It affects the liver, the prime organ for detoxification.  Leads to water retention and therefore losing the results faster.
  • Eating processed food - contains MSG and salt that cause water retention.  That would contribute to losing results faster.
  • Too much stress - the whole body is compromised and therefore you would lose the results faster.
  • Not enough sleep - you would lose the results faster.
  • Doing diet pills - causes dehydration that contributes to losing results faster.

These are some of the reasons to lose the results faster.  However, do not forget that body wrap supports the body contouring only if the solution and the method used is appropriate.
