What are our expectations for happiness?

We expect that we deserve happiness. We count all our acts and process done in past for all the people we know in such a way to feel that the universe is not fair to us and is not giving us happiness although we have done so much for others.

We forget that whatever we have done might have either a selfish cause, or some other demands or very minute ego that even we don’t know about. As long as we are biased and see everything with our own perspective, it is hard to find the happiness although we expect it.

Once we start looking into the details and taking out all those things that are keeping happiness away from us, we find that the true happiness was always within us and we did not need to expect much. When we gave away our expectations, we get happy easily.
